My name is Alexa Wells, and I am the human behind Very Sunny Day. I’ve spent more than a decade designing and creating for a wide variety of brands and industries, both in-house and in agency.
Along the way, I became more and more passionate about branding and telling a brand’s story through intentional visual craft. This led me to Very Sunny Day, where I focus on providing strategic design and visual identity systems for clients large and small.
The inspiration for VSD’s brand came from a drawing done when I was 4-years-old. Why a sun? So simple, maybe even generic. But universal. Known everywhere as the same thing. There is beauty in the simplicity of its positivity, optimism and authenticity. It’s how I strive to work, build relationships, and see the world. Plus, it’s the first thing I learned how to draw, so I’m pretty attached to it.
